Loch Earn is a beautiful location for a wedding at any time of year, and Achray House, situated on the loch shore is the ideal venue for small weddings and receptions of up to 50 people.
The hotel is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies, and is only a two minute walk from Dundurn Parish Church, a handsome small church with a medieval stone font and traditional oak paneling. After the wedding, most couples choose a traditional Highland wedding procession to the hotel, led by a local piper.
At the hotel, you can start proceedings with Champagne in our conservatory or the Neish lounge, both of which have excellent views over Loch Earn and the mountains beyond. The hotel gardens and foreshore on Loch Earn provide the perfect location for wedding photographs, and we can help in the planning of this with your photographer.
The wedding meal is a key feature of your special day, and our chef will be happy to work with you to develop a menu to meet your tastes and budget.
Although St Fillans is in rural Perthshire, it is easily accessible from the Scottish central belt, and from the North East of Scotland. The journey from Edinburgh or Glasgow takes just over one hour, and from Aberdeen about two and a half hours.
Achray House can accommodate approximately 22 people for overnight accommodation, and other accommodation is available within walking distance of the hotel.
Alan and Jane Gibson, your hosts at Achray House, are happy to discuss the options for weddings, or for other private functions.
The picture on our jetty is provided by David Hunt, our local wedding photographer.
